Don't laugh.
Here's an informal shot of a really silly idea. My Lowther DX3s in Fidelio cabinets were placed upside down on top of the LaScalas at Thanksgiving to keep the fragile cones away from Holly The World's Fastest Toddler. It worked well, so I have kept it this way. The Lowthers are driven - if that's not too strong a word for a 2 watt amp, maybe 'influenced' is better - by a SE 45 amp with a passive high level crossover. Presently only the woofer of the Klipsch is being used, driven by a GAS SOA amp, SAE line level crossover and SAE parametric EQ. The other box is a powered sub that's not in use. To the far right of the pic you can see the shed where the hawk stopped to eat a pigeon in the Famous Birdwatching Incident. This is the speaker that I crawled behind on my belly to take pics of the hawk. Search Speakers for 'birdwatching' for the whole stirring tale.
Cheers
