I like this setup because the things I do most often are easily accessible to me. Records are put onto the Akai Reel first, then put on cassette or CD. The Akai really captures the signal and all of my recordings sound much better when first recorded on reel tape. I use Maxell UD 35-90 Reel tape and highly recommend it. Its clean and provides great sound reproduction.
