  • Hello, I made compound driver version with bjt. In simulation looks ok. If you wish I can send you asc file. Driver stage impedance is much higher as with single transistor + it stays longer in class A.

    I'd like that! Did find issues with the Sziklai pair that were not apparent in the sim. The single transistor driver fixed those.
    Hello, I like very much your mod with Denon pma1560. I have one, with broken left channel and I tried almost everything with original parts but without luck. At my last try I was able to set the bias but after I putting the signal in it becomes unstable. I would like to make mod which you did. May I ask if you replaced SA1142, SC2705, SC4208 with some other type and your bias settings? BR, Peter

    Bias as per manual, 2SA1142->2SA1220A, 2SC2705->2SC2690A. I left the 2SC4208A because not damaged.

    Thank you for your answer. On my opinion C524 22uF/50V should stay in for less distotion.
