No they are not copper. It is just one of the layers in the anodizing process.Interestingly, the bolts it is attached to are copper.

Even with a huge amount of money to spend, it’s practically impossible to find such models. A friend once told me that he saw a silver Yamaha C-1 for sale—in Kazakhstan, if I’m not mistaken. A couple of years ago, I saw a video ad for a silver Yamaha C-2 for sale in Germany, and a few months ago, one in Poland. I dream of someday getting my hands on a silver Yamaha preamp to go with my B-2.Congrats! I am super happy to hear the success story of resurrecting another v-fet amp.
Silver ones are rare.

It's a dream for many people.here is my silver Yamaha set:
I am going to speculate that only one of your driver boards is original to the B-2 you are working on. If you tell me your serial number of your unit, I can tell you which one.I started working on the black one and sorted out the V-FETs first.

While working on the driver boards, I discovered that they used different versions of these capacitors.

Thank you! The S/N is 10457. With the exception of those capacitors, everything else is completely identical. If you tell me your serial number of your unit, I can tell you which one.
