You had one or more of the filter caps leak
No they are not copper. It is just one of the layers in the anodizing process.
Congrats! I am super happy to hear the success story of resurrecting another v-fet amp.
Silver ones are rare.

Even with a huge amount of money to spend, it’s practically impossible to find such models. A friend once told me that he saw a silver Yamaha C-1 for sale—in Kazakhstan, if I’m not mistaken. A couple of years ago, I saw a video ad for a silver Yamaha C-2 for sale in Germany, and a few months ago, one in Poland. I dream of someday getting my hands on a silver Yamaha preamp to go with my B-2.

To be honest, this isn't my first project involving V-FET amplifiers, but every time it's a huge stress and I have to double-check everything to make sure I don't lose them due to carelessness.
Next up is the black one.
It's a dream for many people.
I am going to speculate that only one of your driver boards is original to the B-2 you are working on. If you tell me your serial number of your unit, I can tell you which one.
The other driver board is a replacement form another unit.

Thank you! The S/N is 10457. With the exception of those capacitors, everything else is completely identical.
The board with the brown film caps belongs to the unit.
The board with the orange film caps belongs to a much earlier unit. I replace the orange film caps on the spot. I once tested dozens of them (pulls) and thy have over 5% failure rate. Some shorted, some of drastically different values.
I never found any of the brown film caps, used in the later serial numbers (above 8k, IIRC) to have any issues.
