thats a great looking chasis,...with all the sP-210's on the market without a PS, you can make a killing.

The case is a Hammond diecast aluminum box, model 1590F. It's about 7" square and nearly 2.5" deep. I really like working with them - the metal is very easy to work using step bits and files. I put my most recent amp build in one - Dolly v2.0.

The only downside to using them is their cost - about twice what you'd pay for a regular enclosure.

Do you'z guy'z have a schem for this project.....care to share?

Redboy, I will start building the 807 amp from the Conn you sent next week. Cheers and thanks again.

The schematic I have isn't very representative of what I'm building. If this works, I'll put some effort into drawing up a good schematic and a parts list if there is interest. Otherwise, mebbe I oughta go into business as Jack suggests.

I'm following that build of yours, djnagle. So far it looks more like art than amp to me, but that's okay - I'm willing to keep an open mind about it!

I am going to lay up the all the base components with colored epoxy tonight. Next week, or maybe later this week, My friend (super woodworker) will slice the wood up and do the dove tails into a base box. At that point I should be able to start building. Cheers.

All that's left is the solderin'!

Well, hopefully that's all... we'll see after a little testing if it's going to do the job.

Hi Redboy, I just picked up a Pilot 210 and have been searching for an outboard power supply for it. It sounds and looks like you've got something good going. Are you interested in making an extra to sell to a novice such as myself?
Thanks.

Pilot 210 PS

Hi Redboy, I was wondering if you ever got into building extra power supplies for the Pilot 210 preamp. I have been searching the net for some info and came acrost your thread from over a year ago. I just picked up a 210 and need a PS for it if your interested in building and selling to a novice such as myself. I could possibly build one myself if you could help me with the instructions and parts list. It might be easier for you to sell me one that you have or can build. Please let me know. You seem to be the only one I found with the finished product out there.
Thanks for your time.

You're a funny guy, Jack!

I'll check to see if I still have the parts for it. In the meantime, you'll sell the 210 pre and buy something else... :scratch2:

Never will! This amp and my SA-264 will be keepers...(but I understand the skepticism..;-))
