Perhaps some of you remember a new AK'r known as Krazygirl (Tasha), she was new a while back and didn't get a lot of posts in, but enough at the time. She hasn't posted in some time. I know a few here were rubbed the wrong way by her for some reason, but I got to know her off forums as well. She "is" actually a sweetheart and she and I were emailing on roughly a weekly basis and we developed a good friendship (sending each other music and talking and whatnot). She was very consistant. Well, all of the sudden she stopped. I have not heard from her for 2 months now. I'm not going to betray our friendship by going into any details, but there is reason for concern (nothing she did wrong or any bad choices or anything like that). I hope she is ok and will contact me soon, but I am at the point of concern.
She would at least drop me a short paragraph in a week and a half if she was busy or something, just to stay in touch. At the 3 week point I was not concerned because crap happens. at the month point I started to wonder (knowing her). Now just over 2 months later, I am very concerned.
So I guess just for those who care to, just keep her in your thoughts and hope she contacts me soon. I'm fearing something bad may have happened either to a loved one or herself or something. It's highly irregular not to hear even a brief hello from her over a 2 or 3 week period, whether good or bad.

Amen to that! I just realized that the last I heard from her was Dec 28. She and her husband were going to Switzerland for New Years and she told me she would be back Jan 6th and would write to me the next day. Oh ****!:worried:
 
You do know that all the pictures she posted here were fake and were instead of an actress, I hope? Not saying she wasn't potentially a lovely person, but everything she posted here wasn't on the total up and up, and there had been links to photographs she had used that were very obviously somebody else. That she posed as somebody she wasn't isn't unheard of on the internet, but it could also be part of the reasoning why she just up and disappeared. As in, I have a hard time getting worried about somebody who lied to our membership.
 
I vividly recall krazygrl taking AK by storm, racking up legions of posts (not to mention a mile-long friends list) in near record time only to completely drop out of sight only after a few months. A check of her last dozen or so posts revealed no apparant ill feelings or friction of any kind to precipitate her sudden departure.

Sometime later, a member began a new thread wishing her a happy birthday which ran to a good number of pages. However at some point in the birthday thread, questions had been raised concerning the veracity of Krazygrl's avatars. (I think she had used two). The suggestion was that she had lifted a pic of some celebrity or singer from the i'net passing it off as herself. I don't recall the final verdict on this but a number of members expressed dismay and disappointment when these questions began to surface.

Well, I don't know about the avatar thing because almost everyone uses avatars that are not pics of themselves. Of course, on the other hand they are quite obvious and meant to be so.:scratch2:

Of course that when something ''out of character'' like that happens, you can't help but worry, and assume the worst,,but hope for the best.. Yes I agree that we should all keep her in our thoughts and prayers, and hope that she is ok...
I think of AK as a family..One big online family,, Even though sometimes, it reminds me of the ''Ewing Family'' on Dallas... LOL

Well, I don't know that "ALL" the pics are fake. She sent me a couple of pics that were definitely not of any celebrity I am aware of.

Imagine that. A "female" visits our site using fake pics of an actress and gets a lot of attention and a mile long list of friends. I hope he/she is ok, in any case.

We don't know that for sure.:nono: Barely any of us use pics of ourselves for our avatars. Like I said, she sent me a couple of pics telling me they are her and they didn't look like any celebrity I'm aware of.
Also is it not possible that anyone can have a resembalance to a celeb of one form or other? For instance, I used to be mistaken for Bono once in a great while! (That really sucked too. Not that Bono isn't a nice guy or something, but I'm a great big nobody who isn't worth two nickels rubbed together. Reconciling that is uncomfortable as hell).
