Description and pics right!

Hello again John,
I'm happy to hear you've now ordered your turntable, and I'm also very curious because I know absolutely nothing about this model and I don't believe I've ever read anything about it on any audio forum. So I really look forward to pictures and your impressions. Are you planning on using the stock cartridge for now?

I will keep it stock for now just to see how it works and sounds with my systems. Have not decided where to put it yet. The room is full of amps and cassette decks right now, plus what is in my signature.

This model has everything that was on my original list of features, plus I like the removable head shell feature, make cart changing a bit easier. Did you see the pics,http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=193530
it looks real nice too. Denon makes good stuff. And last but not least, the price was right, saved $85.00 off regular price plus free shipping.
Should have bought (2).

"First of all, the turntable is easy to set up, with clear instructions. Aesthetically speaking, it is a handsome piece of equipment. I've only used it a few times, but so far am very impressed with its performance (hooked up to an Onkyo receiver and Bose bookshelf speakers). Listened to an old Edith Piaf record tonight and felt she could have been in the room--clear, warm sound with nice range.

DD"

Thanks,

Oh can I ever relate to that John, except replace "amps" with blank cassettes, turntables, and tubes. They're closing in on me. :para:

I'm sure you know your new tt has a built in phono preamp? I thought I'd mention it just in case so you don't connect it to a phono input on a receiver and freak out because it sounds like garbage. :D

The built in pre-amp can be turned on/off when needed.
I want to order extra headshells to use different carts, easy to change that way, just adust your Zero again.

I am picking up a JVC AL-A151 TT tomorrow to repair.

Thanks,
John.

Oh good, because I'd imagine that whatever you're using for a phono stage is probably better than the built-in one.

I am going to test the Denon with my Pioneer SX-850 for now, on my work bench. This will be a preliminary test before I get her settled into another system.

Thanks,
John.:music:

Denon DP-300F in the House! I have it put together and playing!

OK, It was packaged well from the factory.

Easy to set up, the cart runs at 2.0 grams.

Very Quiet auto operation, smooth movement.

Suspension is a little tight yet.
Platter mat is of high quality and thick to cushion your lP's.

Ease of operation, just lightly press the start button.:thmbsp:

Sound is well balanced listening through head phones.

The cartridge that came with is not bad either, not to bright, I would say mellow mids and highs, has punch when it needs too!Clear vocals, natural sounding!

I will post more after playing it for a few days.:D I am still amazed that I own this!

Listening to "Tina Brooks" Blue Note. Sounds NEW, no other sounds except the Music!
Pics below for now.

Thanks,
John.:music:

I am very curious to hear what you think about the built-in preamp. Looks like a very nice table indeed.

Have not tried the built in pre-amp yet. Will test it soon.

Thanks for your reply.
So far she sounds real sweet, tracks well on some of my crummy LP's.

hey too much gear in there , better send some of it off to us less deserving :D
I am interested to see how the Denon fares to some of your other vintage tables , keep us posted on your impressions.
