PNW Gathering 2009 (third annual) was a success, thanks to all who came out to display their gear and share their love of audio.
There were lots of cameras in attendance, so let's see everyone's pictures!
I will be posting mine tomorrow.

Superb event. Thanks tarior for making this work smoothly. Too short though, not enough time to talk to everybody.

Thanks Koseltri and Skip, road tripping it made the trip up fun too. Glad people liked the monsters. Admit the joke was oblique at best...monster receivers, flanked by dinosaurs (monster lizards).

Too ambitious...tried using all analog sources when I'm just not well versed enough. The TT and RtR weren't flying.

Fulton foibles: First real test of the R-117 too, different feel from the 16.5. Hit into overload twice. These simply need biamping for a room this size.

I was trying to get the left E-stat transformer going, but ended up just swapping it with one from my 2000A. Not quite balanced, 6 vs 4 panels...didn't help that I'd accidentally pushed the 'mono' button on the preamp while transporting. :pity:

Ah well, after the bias current had time to charge and switching to the tuner for a source, the crackling on the E-stats subsided and good music emerged finally. :dunno: :headscrat

Anticlamactic after the Altecs and ultra-rare-ultra-high-end Yamahas I think. :D

I had a great time. To me the best thing about these events is getting to meet fellow audio enthusiasts. Also enjoyed seeing the cool gear that people brought. Standouts were a pair of Altec 19's and a Sansui TU-X1.

Great pictures and recaps, keep them coming.

My favorite picture was in the photobucket gallery from Sir.Byrd of that Sansui AU-X1. I'm meeting Will this afternoon to pickup that beast. :thmbsp:

Looks like Koseltri had the FULL table of turn-tables including those linear trackers.. :thmbsp:

Offering to help or coveting the goods? :D

Dude, thanks so much for the hospitality. Thinking about that Marantz 1060 - I don't recall if I put the Pre In/Main Out jumpers back in after I was done running it as a pre amp. Otherwise, if you decide to part with that L212 bass energizer, keep me first on the list please!

Had a good time. Thanks for organizing everything Tarior. Was good to put faces to the names. MarkW, thanks for the Heathkit pre; it will be put to good use. Thought I got more pictures. Some didn't turn out so well so are not here. Sorry I didn't get a pic of jandg's 45 amp. My little Signet's weren't near efficient enough for it, but it was marvelous on the 19's. Sad to see nerdorama popping caps on his 1000, hope to hear it next year. Hopefully more people will show up next year. Still had a good time.

Couple more Pic's. I should have talked with more people, but I was kind of tired from getting up at 4:00am to drive to the airport and then down to Kelso. I'm also sorry I couldn't bring much of anything down. Next time.

I had my eye on this thing all morning. I've been looking at a Bryston 4B SST as an upgrade amp for some time.

My brother was googling the different pieces of gear he saw, while at the same time keeping an eye on kfa888's Volkswoofer.

Thanks for more pics guys. Glad somebody got that 45 amp snapped. Although I am sure MarkW wouldn't mind having them, the Yammies and Revels belonged to MarkB. I am sure it is an easy mistake as there were four or five of Marks there.

more pics

Sir.Bird offered me 75 dollars for this one:

Here's a little slideshow. Just click on the pic, and once it opens, you can expand it to full size.

I love "Get Together" thread pics! By far, the best kind of photo's to be found on these pages IMO :thmbsp:

Good job guys. Looks like it was a great time
