well wow.......
my shock and awe system as lived up to its name and infamy allready!!
lots of shock! lots of awe! and alot of negitivity...........
anyways on with the story!!!!!

over the weekend i got the first stack lit, i call it marantz mountain, so far im using a marantz 18 with some old magnavox floor speakers for bass, a marantz 2225 with paradighm sv7s for lower bass, a marantz 2270 with pioneer cs-99s for mid and upper bass punch, 2 marantz 2220bs with matching bose 201s for surrounds, and 2 pioneers, the sx-3700 and sx-3800. with 2 velodyne subwoofers and 2 jbl subwoofers, lots of bass! but its a sonic cluster-f..k!
its takin me a few days to get them all to talk to eachother. ive had my fair share of problems too. the wiring in my trailer isnt the best, i lit up 39 receivers the other night and i smelled something burning in the wall, then the breaker tripped. so i need to figure out a better sorce for current, i was thinking about running some of my gear at 240v. alot of my sansui stuff is set up for it, and i was told that gear runs easyer at 220 and dosnt draw as much juice? anyways i have an old plug on my porch for a 240 a-c window unit thats still connected, can i use this with 20 or so receivers to take the load off the rest of the houses 120v system? when all is said and done i will have a system with 50 RECEIVERS in it.... and please lets stay on subject here... oh yeah btw, my wife hates my hobby but she is putting up with my insanity, for now, and my neighbors really dont care how much noise i make.
stay tuned for phaze 3!!:banana::music:

Wow! I have never heard of anyone doing such a thing. It truly is Marantz Mountain. I've seen it all now. I think it is dedicated circuit time for sure! Rock on!:naughty:

hmmm end stages of terminal gearcoholism.
Can you get 3 systems to work ok without causing a national emergency ?
( admitting I caused the big blackout of '77 )
Just kidding. ('cept about that blackout doh) HAve fun.

Oh, the insanity...

I'm thinking you have to follow this up with at least 100 boom boxes all tuned to the same station

Good luck, and keep an eye on those circuits - don't burn your house down

You'll always draw less current when using higher voltage, on something that is set up with dual voltage taps.

But in your case, you need to do it safely!!

Don't take any chances and you'd better check that one overloaded outlet and it's wiring before turning that breaker back on.

It can end 3 ways:

fire
divorce
a good time.

Hey, you have a 2 out of 3 chance of coming out positive on this! Seriously, though, that looks like a huge fire hazard in a trailer.

I hope (and I say this in all seriousness) that you have fresh batteries in all your fire alarms, a couple of extinguishers handy, aren't a heavy sleeper, and your homeowners insurance is paid up; cause the only time I've seen a worse fire hazard was in Mrs. O'Leary's barn.

I appreciate the audacity of the effort. Carry on, let us know what happens. Even though the reports of burning smells from the walls add to the intrigue, please be safe.

All i can say is be careful....I've never tripped the breakers with my system, and a few years ago I had someone ask me at school (who lives a couple blocks from me) if I was playing Ozzy the other day.

Yeah, I was.

Cool setup. But be careful. Maybe splitting the load between systems would work. Have half on one 15 amp circuit and the other on another 15 amp circuit.

Hi StereoRob!
I applaud your efforts! The whole concept is so far out there........that I love it!
Please take a video with sound of course from outside when this Bad Boy is Crankin' :)
Make a donation to your local Fire Department too just in case ;)
