Allied 615 HC's (EV 15TRX) x-over capacitor values?

I have been trying to locate a schematic for the Allied 615 HC 15" triaxial (EV 15TRX) drivers but can't seem to find one anywhere. Anyone have one they care to share?

All I need are the capacitor values really. The x-over under the motor cover consists of two inductors and two caps, 2nd order it appears. I can't read any values on the two capacitors but would assume that if it's 2nd order the values would be the same.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks, RC

Dang it all anyway. Not only am I getting old I'm apparently going blind.

I took some pics earlier to post here to see if anyone recognized the crossover. I ran out of time and just got a look at them moments ago.

I mentioned above that I couldn't see any value on the caps at all. Imagine my surprise when I just viewed these. Note the 3rd photo.

I'm going to blame it on angle and poor lighting ;)

Don't feel too bad. I was once allowed to make a thorough ass of myself in front of friends when I couldn't find my cordless drill. I went on and on, about thieves, sneaks and so on. After about 3 minutes of this tirade, someone finally pointed out that the drill was in my hand. Honestly, my brain told me it was a socket set.

I've had a similar experience recently trying to find my glasses. My daughter pointed out they were on my head.

I have the Jarvelays running in the basement Mike! Sounding pretty nice on some 2A3's but I think their due for a recap.

I replaced the L-pads and that helped quite a bit. The rear emblem covering the motor cover screw put up a fight but a heat gun made short work of it really. Now I just need to order up a handful of 6 uF caps and they should be back to their old glory :thmbsp:

One down, one to go. I buttoned everything up and listened to the two in comparison. Hot dang, it's sounding pretty good!

It's quite a challenge trying to work on some of this stuff during breaks from my Honey-do list chores. I was just ready to dig in again but it looks like we are heading for Rochester about 4 hours earlier than originally planned. Gotta pick up the sister-in-law and bring her back up to see her new grandbaby

It's amazing how a 3 hour project turns into 3-weeks around here.

Heres a shot(s) of the new before trimming the leads and securing the wiring.

Hey Lance,

Here is the link to the thread showing what I have them in currently and my preliminary ideas for new cabs for the drivers.

http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=322964

I'm still sorting out a few things in my head that will effect how the front baffle is going to be addressed. Some of it is just aesthetics but it will effect my material order. If I can settle on a few details I should be ordering my sheetstock this week more than likely.

I have the same drivers. Allied 615hc 15 in. 8ohm 50 watts. When I removed the motor cover I had 2ea. 2.84 50v caps. Wonder why you had 6 instead of 2.84???
Also, what l-pads did you decide on? I would like to replace the originals before I build the cabinets.

Not sure if the two speakers in question are both the same impedance version but that's a neat factor of two, which is the difference in cap and inductor values required to achieve the same crossover frequency at 8 vs. 16 ohms.
