I think it would be a good idea to have a Dual Idler Survival Guide in place, a place where you can point a new person or the otherwise uninitiated for self help (sorry, they are on their own for any other issues).
So, as part of this concept I've decided that the aforementioned pdf that was developed by Dave1229 (Dave K) be placed where its accessible to any and all, not having to depend on it to be offered then emailed.http://akdatabase.com/AKview/displayimage.php?album=103&pos=0
Another part would be links to places like http://www.vinylengine.com/ with explanation that one must register with them gratis in order to access the library.
And theres the tweaking aspect http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=345417
Im thinking also it may or may not be a good thing to include key vendors and techs. If such a thing came about, maybe it would be best to leave it up to them to decide whether to be included in such a thing as it could be a double edged sword.
AK member NoTransistors would be considered a key technician. Located in Brooklyn NY he has many years behind him in the field and is an excellent Dual mechanic. From repairs to a complete rebuild he is all over it, and maybe more importantly, honest and trustworthy.
Anyway, what do you think? This is all just in my head, but it seems having most of what gets repeated in one spot makes it easier on everyone.
