    I bought this Niles speaker switcher thing a while ago so that I wouldn't blow up my Marantz 2270 receiver by running two sets of 6 ohm speakers together. It has a "protection" button which when engaged prevents the speaker pair from drawing too much power. I was told this when I got the thing...
