Hi, I'm considering purchasing a B & O turntable. Almost everyone I see, 1700, 1800, etc., that has wood veneer, exhibits a gap where the side veneer strips meet the front. Has the veneer shrunk or is this simply the way they were manufactured? Thanks. Tom
