    I recently purchased a MC452 amp. I planned to use a C34V preamp with it, which I also bought recently. I think the C34V needs a recap, which is not terribly expensive by Audio Classics. But, before I do that, I wanted to consider a newer model preamp and I am doing research on the C47 right...

    McIntosh C47, turned it on AND all hell broke loose!

    Static, hissing, scratching .... pegged my Amp meters (Mc7300)... Turned it off, and on a few times...same thing......on EVERY channel... Re-Updated the Firmware to 1.0.4 (which I had done a week or so ago), and the problem seems to have gone away... If this had happened at high volume it...
