    Fixing cartridge hum

    I have a Realistic R1000XT (made by Shure) that has a very loud left channel hum. Short of tossing it out I was wondering if this is something that can be fixed and how I would go about it. I pulled the internal part out of the housing and cleaned all the contact points with Deoxit but still...
