    Marantz 1515 won't power up

    I see there is a previous thread with a similar problem, but no solution offered. I am trying to bring a Marantz 1515 back to life for a friend. A full inspection shows nothing out of the ordinary except for a "slightly" dodgy power switch. I cleaned it up with contact cleaner and the function...

    Visited lady in her garage with equipment for sale. She plugged in M50 amp via extension cord. Protection light came on & went off.
