    I am working on a sl 1200 mk 2 for someone and they claim that it periodically make a high pitched noise every 1.5 hours or so.     I used a AMScope at 3x and eyepiece WF15X with LED lighting overhead. Photos by my iPad 4 placing the lens to the eyepiece. I did not use the IPad zoom feature.
