    Marantz 2270 speaker protect problem; req. for help

    Hello, I have a Marantz 2270 that will not let speaker relay engage. Things I checked: No DC offset on both channels (measured at J757) Bias 5mv / no shorts or heavy current pulling from power boards / output is nice waveform. Checked components and voltages on P800. (replaced H813 and caps)...

    Marantz 2270 blowing fuses

    Here's an interesting one. I've got an early 2270 that's blowing fuses each time it's powered on... Unless I remove the top outer transistor on the right hand heat sink then it powers on Ok and I can hear some poor quality sound via the headphone output, but nothing through the speaker cables...
