    Mystery Transistors in 60s Panasonic reciever

    Found a few of these in an old 60s Panasonic receiver that I was pillaging for parts. Was wondering if anyone knew what these were called. I checked them with a meter and they were functioning transistors. Just curious why they made them like this, and if they were Germanium, as the receiver...
