Mystery Transistors in 60s Panasonic reciever

Found a few of these in an old 60s Panasonic receiver that I was pillaging for parts. Was wondering if anyone knew what these were called. I checked them with a meter and they were functioning transistors. Just curious why they made them like this, and if they were Germanium, as the receiver had the biggest germanium diodes I've ever seen (see pic of those as well, the first in the collage was taken with my microscope to ID the markings) and I'm curious how I might go about identifying these, as I assume they are Matsushita, since everything else is. The transistors are extremely tiny and it looks aa though they were kind of "stapled" in. They're probably 3mm wide, 1mm thick or less. Thanks for any assistance!

Interesting.

For the transistor, google the 2SC920 pictures, you will find data on it, also.

The diodes, no idea. if that is an "11"on it, a wild guess could be 1S11 which is a Germanium one according the internet.


With the help of internet, it is always interesting to see if anything is to be found, but the way they did put numbers on the parts always leaves some open ends...

Common in late 60s Panasonic radios. They seem to get fragile with age, I’ve had some come apart just by handling. 2sc945 is a good replacement.
