    Proton D1200 strange behavior

    I have a Proton D1200 amp and every once in a while when I power it up and play something, the left channel is at a much lower volume and the sound is distorted ... if I turn the volume all the way down, the left VU meter will not bottom out, instead it'll read around 0.01 but no sound is heard...
