    Pioneer QX-8000 Hum issue

    Hi, Here is a bit of a mystery which I have been unable to solve. I have just finished a rebuild of a very nice quad receiver (with the exception of the tuner board) changing out all of the electrolytic caps and all of the transistors on the tone and Q boards (plus a pair on the phono board)...

    KR9940 in the house

    Picked up a KR-9940 tonight from a friend. It was sitting in his basement for many years. It is very dirty and hopefully didn't bring any bugs in the house. It weighs nearly 50 pounds and not very easy to move around. Looks complete but the owner said he had a tech look at it many years ago...
