    drifting tone arm

    Trying to rehab a Technics SLB100 turntable I found in the basement. All is well at this point except that whenever I lower the stylus, the arm immediately wanders off to the side. I could hold the turntable at a steep angle and it will still do this (uphill). I've tried balancing the tone...
