    Looking for a budget DAC that can upsample... not finding much.

    The only thing I've found so far is the Cambridge Audio Dacmagic Plus Upsample for $350 which is the max I'm willing to spend. I plan to connect my Sony DVP-S7700 via optical for CD audio but would like to upsample the standard 16/44.1 to a higher resolutions. I will also be connecting my laptop...

    Upsampling downloaded CDs on a PC using Foobar2000 for USB/DAC playback. Any opinions?

    I have saved my entire CD collection on a laptop and I use an external DAC for playback. I'm thinking of experimenting with a Topping D50 which can accept a wide range of digital audio data rates and bit depths to see what effect upsampling my CD collection has. I normally play back via USB...
