    Yamaha PF-1000 needs help

    I have a Yamaha Pf-1000 that needs a tone arm refurb and general updating. Can anyone suggest a competent repair shop in the Albany ,NY or southern Vermont area? Thanks.

    Sansui SR-838 vs. Yamaha PF 1000 - Opinions on differences?

    Hello: I have a nicely operating Sansui SR-838 (with an Ortofon 2M Bronze). I've been using it for a decade. I have access to a Yamaha PF 1000 for $800 (no cart), which appears to be in fine shape, but is too far away to listen to. Anyone have any experience with the Yammie compared to the Sansui?
