A Commander console! Nice. Usually officers, since they made more money would pick out the components they wanted and have them installed into a console. Then shipped home later.
 
After research....Receiver is a Pioneer SX40. PP 6bq5 built around 1964. Stereo and 15 to 20 watts per channel.
 
Still not much meat on the bone to flip....?

But certainly not a bad price to keep and restore.

Of course one could make an offer.

I just bought an Altec 604C a couple days ago....so don't want to spend any money now.
 
That Sony RR preamp does have MM Phono inputs....which interests me too....

And those Neat TTs don't come up very often.....

Looks like it is missing the TT headshell......which might be hard to find.

Certainly a high end Japanese TT for sure.....made by Sieko.

Sounds Major to me - something is wrong so it does not work -

So basically, its $800 asked for an old (1964) wooden console with 1964 gear of unknown condition in it ...
and a couple funky looking pioneer speakers.

Sounds way overpriced to me - unless you are aching for old audio gear like that,
I'd figure a few hundred dollars MAX - plus you get the hassles of moving a heavy monster like that!
 
Yea, you're right.

I've read those old tube Pioneer are a hassle to repair too....
27 tubes in the receiver. 28 watts per channel....7189A output tubes.
But, I like the TT....and the Sony Preamp with gauges....

Are the old OPTs in the receiver some brand of high end Japanese Manufacturing?
