1.2 Megohm resistor for Dyna FM-3 alignment?

The procedure for aligning the FM multiplex Integrator calls for connecting a "1.2 Megohm resistor R94" from the center gound pin of the V71 transformer to the #75 Test Point prior to adustng the transformer slug. (This is the tuning of multiplex transformers to the 19KC stereo pilot signal.)

Is the 1.2 M rating on this resitor critical, or would a 1M 1-watt 'flameproof' resistor sold by Parts Express (Part Number 003-1M) be a possible subsitute? I have no idea how this would effect the subsequent setting using the 'Stereolocator' half of eye tube. Thanks. -sf

Why not put it in series with a 200K to get to the 1.2m?

Not critical at all, any old resistor around 1 M will do.
