1 Sub. With 2 input sources.

Quick question. My current set up consist of two amps with one set of shared speakers. My Parasound amp, is used for music and my Dennon is HT. I use a NIles DPS-1 to switch back and forth between the two amps. I’m also using 1 subwoofer. Currently I have both left and right channels from the NAD 1300 pre amp going into the sub for my music. Can I take another Y splitter at the sub and run 1 RCA cable from the Dennon Sub out and tap into the Y splitter at the sub? OR should I run everything into a selector switch and toggle between the two amps in essence mimicking what the Niles DPS 1 does for the speakers? My concern is if by using the splitter method that when one of the amps is being used could the signal from that other amp go back into the other amp that’s not being used almost like back feeding the signal? Thanks!

It has line level inputs for both left and right channels which are both being used coming off the NAD pre amp

I would use a selector switch. It's not recommended, AFAIK, to connect different outputs in parallel.

You definitely don't hook to sources in parallel. They will load each other down do to their low output impedances introducing distortion prematurely nd possibly causing component failure. You could use isolation transformers, but its best to use a switching arrangement.
