1000a Question

I've got the 1000a in the audio rack, sounds so danged good! For now I'm using automotive 14ga aluminum eyelet connections with the top of the eyelet cut off so I can slip them onto the speaker screw connections. I'd like a more elegant, and better, connection. Suggestions?

Are you sure those eyelets are aluminum and not tinned copper?
I don't think you can go wrong by keeping it simple and just use decent tinned copper spade/fork connectors, IMAHO. Gold plated if you want to get fancy, but note that **** was unheard of back in the days of this receiver.

I'm using copper spade connectors now. I forgot I had them and was using aluminum automotive eyelet connectors, but the aluminum isn't the best there is for conductivity. The copper crimps down on the 14ga wires quite nicely, almost like they were swaged. Don't want a speaker wire to come off while the receiver is playing. That's hard on tubes.

Hard on transistors too. Please don't ask how I know, (it was a long time ago).
I tend to add a touch of solder also, but maybe I'm being anal.
