1300dc buttons

Hey Guys,

Picked up a 1300dc (wanted a 300dc and 3650, but couldn't afford them). Two questions .... the unit works and looks pretty good, it is missing two button covers and these are different than the most common Marantz buttons (a little smaller diameter and different receptacle). What other units use these buttons so I can widen my search for replacements ... and ... I probably want to restore this unit, but I am sure it is way beyond me, who would be the 1300dc expert and I hope they are close by because this weighs a ton and a half!

Is it just the button caps that are missing ? You may want to look inside.
The amp section of the 1300 is fairly straightforward. The pre section is a 3650 and can be a real pain due to the board connections and layout.

Thanks for the pic Fhamre, I am guessing the amp section is the back 2/3's in your pic. Are the amp boards modular so they can be removed to work on? Yes, it is the caps that are missing, any leads on where to find two? Thanks Rich

Yes you are correct. The front 1/3 is the pre and the amp boards do come out.
Just watch epray for the caps. You may want to look at your pre and similar series units to determine a match.
