1948 Hallicrafters T-54 Television - Very good RARE WORKING condition classic vintage B&W TV. Push button channel selection (has very rare "Channel 1" button). No corrosion or missing parts. One tube has been replaced with a modern (solid sate) diode, but other than that it is 100% original. Influenced TV design for decades.

Methinks Raymond Loewy had a hand in the design of that set...He did the color scheme/paint design on JFK's Air Force One- a 707. Before, it looked like a 19-yr-old airman had designed it-afterwards, it had the coolly sophisticated, elegant look we've all come to know so well. The same basic scheme is used on the current 747 AF1, but it just doesn't quite come off as well as it did on the 707. Excuse me, KC-135.
