1960s Andrea Stereo Console

[artsybob]

I found someone in my area selling an early-60s Andrea tube console for $40. From what scant information I could find on it it appears to have a push/pull amp powered by four EL84 tubes. I was debating whether or not to buy this unit for my uncle. Do you guys think this might be a worthwhile purchase? It does have some nice midcentury design to it.

That's probably a pretty decent console. Here's an old thread with some info:

40 bucks for that, definitely. Just be aware it'll need the usual 50 year service work if you want it reliable.
