I have been listening to this unit for a month now as my daily driver and I am very impressed with the general performance of this 52 year old stereo
The 660 PT was buzzing a little so I tightened the bell screws and it is now completely silent
The Pre-amp on/off volume control needs to be re-built as it does not track properly but the balance control compensates for it.
When not listening to LP's I run a WiFi radio to the MPX inputs so I turn the volume to 10:00 (sweet spot) and use the remote volume on the WiFi radio
The Garrard type A changer works perfectly and the original Pickering stylus is holding up well
I connected a set of Bozaks to the 8 ohm taps and disconnected the 16 ohm internal speakers. I think the internal crossovers could use a re-cap
Sounds impressive with the Urbans
I have to say that I prefer the EL84's of the 1959 610/560. 7591's sound very accurate and clear but I think my brain likes the warm tubiness of the EL84's
