This would be awesome, but every time it swung around in it, I'd have to go "One Million Dollars".....

Typed in "iconic items from the 70's". Some of the images returned included....

"Keep on truckin' " poster, the requisite wall clock, leisure suits, rotary telephone (I like that one), "What, me worry?" anything, rain lamp (I have one).

Or you could scare your friends with some of these ideas....

Those chairs are cool but not very good to sit in while listening to your stereo.

Orange pleather settee, bean bag chairs, JVC Quad system/8 track w/speakers in each corner, 20 foot American Flag painted on 1 wall and a poster of Jim Morrison with an empty wine bottle shrine under it!

Don't forget your leisure suit when you are lounging in your 70s pad!

Remember Spencer's Gifts? Every mall had one.

They used to sell those lights with a 7 Up can for the base and a flicker bulb.

Some owl mobiles dangling from the ceiling.

Witco furniture is wild, but now a collector's item. Check out Elvis' Jungle Room for a reference.

Get the Brady Bunch episode where Greg redecorates Mike's den.

Whatever you do, we want pictures.

I think that there was a version of these 'egg' chairs that had a pair of speakers built in, for the seated listener's pleasure.

Look at any old JBL or Altec catalog. Lot's of classic mod photos of rooms and listening spaces. The Aquarius speaker photo layouts are some of my favorites.

Sparkly or boomerang pattern formica. I would love a receiver decked out like that. Unfortunately its difficult to find formica anymore

Actually i think the 1950s had a bit more class than the 1970s when it came to decor and architecture. Atomic age and the American dream at its finest.

[Klappco]

Macrame plant hangers.

Candles melted on wine bottles.

They still make that. It is more 50s than 70s. Lots of stuff that we equate with the 70s was actually 50s or even older. In 1975, most of it was only 20 years old.
