It's not a "deal", but considering the Crites work is worth $100, it's a decent price. Especially as you would be able to inspect them + no shipping costs. There should be some negotiation room.

Not a steal. But fair. I think they look awesome. I want them now, good thing I'm not in Illinois anymore. After you pick those up for 400-450 go to decware and get a nice amp for them.

I would have to agree that it is not really a "deal", but not "horrible" either. The only Crites upgrade was replacing the oil caps (which some people prefer. The diaphragms have not been upgraded to Ti Crites (so you are looking at another $60-70 for those)--highly recommended.

You will need stands or build risers for them, and is your home environment one that does not have "prying little fingers" that can damage woofer cones, since they do not have/accommodate grills?
