Hello,

I am very grateful to join this forum, thank you.

I want to get in touch with someone who services/repairs Dolby audio gear. I have a portable Dolby 372 that I would like to get back up to spec.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, amazing these are still around. I worked on the development of this product, just two of us in the Dolby London office. I did the PCB layouts, lost wax cast chassis design and wrote the manual!

Hi Mark,
What are the symptoms? If it's the one with a crackle it could be a potentiometer. They were high quality ones fitted but after all these years likely to go noisy. Dolby UK closed manufacturing and repairs in 2009, I left in 2012 after 34 years with them. Likewise the US manufacturing is all but gone so not sure where they do repairs now. In any case they would unlikely be able to support the product given its age, parts won't be available. I'll try emailing someone there and see what they say.
