The Miller & Kreisel SX4 satellite speakers are a remarkable addition to any home theater setup. The speakers' small stature is a big advantage, making them a great fit for any space. Despite their small size, the speakers pack a punch with a natural top end, providing a crisp and clear sound that is unmatched by other speakers in their class. The speakers' beautiful soundfield capabilities make them an excellent choice for immersive audio, enthusiasts thag we are. Playing music through them, was an incredible experience.

One of the major advantages of the Miller & Kreisel SX4 satellite speakers is their cost efficiency. They offer an excellent value for their price, delivering premium sound quality at an affordable cost. However, to get the most out of these speakers, you will need to invest in stands and a subwoofer. The speakers require subwoofer support under 80Hz, which adds up to the initial cost of the speakers. However, this additional investment is well worth it for the exceptional sound quality that the speakers deliver. They will easily match floorstanders when paired with a subwoofer.

The Miller & Kreisel SX4 satellite speakers are a testament to the incredible work of Ken Kreisel, the founder of Miller & Kreisel. Kreisel's work with Lucasfilm, Steely Dan, and the studio recordings they did has been nothing short of remarkable, and these speakers are no exception. They are a testament to his dedication to producing high-quality sound equipment that delivers a truly immersive experience.

In conclusion, the Miller & Kreisel SX4 satellite speakers are an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality audio experience. Their small stature, natural top end, beautiful soundfield capabilities, and cost efficiency make them an exceptional value for their price. While you will need to invest in stands and a subwoofer, the exceptional sound quality of these speakers makes them well worth the investment. And with Ken Kreisel's name behind them, you can be sure that these speakers represent the very best in audio technology.

The SX4 were the last set of m&k John d'arcy was involved in before his passing. Making this particular set very special to me.

The tweeters in those are excellent , the vifa d25 sf.
I found that a pair off eBay, they had similar characteristics to the tweeters that the GNP Valkeries used but they sounded much better.

They are insanely good speakers actually , it surprised me with the first set I tried. They do need subs as the cut off at 80hz. But man , these have buried a good few higher end floorstanders I have currently. And crossovers not all that bad either ! Got air gap inductors. And the old 1b I have even polycaps !

the oldest M&K I own are the S 100, and I agree whole heartedly with everything you say.

They (all of my M&K satellites) are stonkin' amazing speakers. Ever since I bought my first pair of s75 I've tried and tried to 'best' them, (KEF LS-50, Infinity Infintesimal, number of JBLs) and the only other small speaker I have that approaches them is the Infinity Modulus.

I'm glad they still fly under the radar, so used examples aren't expensive.

The sx4 is a open baffle top end ,but definitely same drivers and just a great speaker. I agree with you too, so glad they are still affordable . Excellent value !
