High quality pro amps are the best kept secret in hifi,

They really are.
In tune with the OP I can recommend the Yamaha P1600, P3200 and P4500. 1997?
They unfortunately have always on fans but can be wired to half speed or changed to more silent ones.
Really bullet proof design and sound.

Are you sure about this? the XL 600 may be the best mosfet amp of all the time, even better than the 9500 Transnova

I use one everyday. Its nothing compared to the build quality of an actual pro audio amp like Yamaha PC series. Sounds nice tho, fan is a bit annoying. I paid scrap money for it so I can be brutally honest.

Well the XL-600 and the XL-280 are stable at 1 ohm, I dont think Yamaha has anything like that.
and I have a B-2x, P2200 and B-6

Yeh but the physical build quality is not up to pro amp standard, im listening to mine right now, ifs nice.

But the Xl-600 is not a pro amp, is a home audio amp.
Hafler pro5000 is a studio amp , the same with the 9505
