2, 4, 8 ohm taps

There has been discussion on the different taps Mc Amps (tubes or SS) offers. Some say that 4 ohm tap actually sound better on 8 ohm speakers My JM Lab Mezzo Utopia are 4 ohms. I want to try the 2 ohms tap on my MC2000 to see if there is any change in sound. . Is there any harm to the amp or speaker?
