Don't ya just HATE the anticipation of a CL reply???? I got a reply back about a Crown d150a a day after I sent the message, still has it.. want to go see it and probably buy it, and no reply back another day later.. :tears:

They look like a larger model - sent 3 emails within 30 min of the postings, no response hours later- my brother lives in Media, could pick up in a heart beat- I think we may be looking at the start of a CL auction

It's tough to tell the scale from the picture but if that's a normal size door in the picture and the knob is mounted in the normal location, those speakers are not tall enough to be Fortes - which reach a height just about level with a door handle on a normal door, and these look like they're under the height of the door knob in the picture. Again, tough to tell...

When I saw the add I figured they were KG-4's, since they looked to be around 30" tall. Still no word from the seller, one way or another.

Look like Quartets

There were a pair here on seattles CL. Look like Quartets. The ones here I think sold for 225.00. Up one day after initial 250.00 posting then gone after price was dropped to 225.00.

Some one on this forum had better post that they jumped all over those and post pics to prove it. That's just way to good a deal if its for real.

Klipsch in Philly!

Yeah u right! I just got back from picking up a pair of AU/TU-999s from a guy that posted on the Philly craigslist for some "Vintage Klipschorns" - don't remember the model tho but he told me he sold them for $2800! His friend had died that owned all that gear and his wife was going to "throw the junk out in the dumpster". Sheesh my gear is minty and I'm going to put up the prelim pics in the Sansui forum in a bit. The guy said the Klipschs looked as new, and from the looks of my stuff I believe him. $40 for those speakers maybe theres an EX getting back at someone or something - kinda crazy. I tell my girl EXACTLY what my equipment is worth and keep up with going prices on vintage gear. Maybe someday she will be a rich girl!

I see some decent gear popping up here locally. I just wish I had a stack of coinage on standby.

I just checked for the listing for these speakers and it has been deleted, and I wasnt the winner, oh well maybe next time, just have to consol mysely with the free four large advent that i'm picking up tomorrow . englissa

Learned from experience... I think CL works best when buyers (AND sellers) respect who's first in line on the deal. Easy to say, hard to do but there's always another deal to come along...
