$2 Record Store Find

Becoming harder to find deals like that...has been for about 3-4 years now, at least around here. Before everyone started jacking up their prices across the board, I did find some things on the cheap in HPB clearance for 50 cents. A far cry from the 6.99 or 7.99 they have stickered on them now.

My wife came home with 50 or so lp's a week ago. The thrift she found them at had them all marked 19 cents. Even the 8 record Bennie Goodman box set was marked 1.00. Nice to find a deal every once in a while! Enjoy Yours!

My local GW has lowered their prices on albums from $1 per to 49cents per box. If there's more than one too bad. Just trying to keep them down. Even CD's seem to be getting the clearance treatment these days. Not much there but some good ones still there if you like classical or country.

Goodwills here in Houston selection most of the time is stuff that should be in a dumpster for $1.99 each

Reminds me of the kind of finds that you use to see routinely back in the dollar bin bonanza days ... remember reading in blogs how some folks use to buy the same record as much as seven times ... looking for a perfect sounding copy. Today ... you are lucky to find a decent copy period.

Some of us still do this... Just over a longer period of time.
