2 x Eico HF-22 amps + Eico HF-85 pre-amp

Greetings,

I inherited 2 x Eico HF-22 amps and a Eico HF-85 pre-amp from my dad. They are in functional condition (they work but are not restored and could use thorough cleaning).

Can you all tell me what they are worth?

If they look nice (no rust, not pitted) after cleaning them up:
Amps $400-$500 each
Preamp $400-$650

I've owned a pair of those amps since 2009.....

Prices were based on ebay sales (sold prices).
If you're trying to sell through Craigslist, Facebook, etc., where you live will greatly affect your ability to sell them at the prices I mentioned.

This scenario is darn near priceless IMO. They were your dad's, and they could become considerably nicer than the stuff most dad's have! Maybe better than what most of us have. Well worth restoring and building a fine system around. Very few people get this opportunity. Whatever money you could get for selling them will be duplicated multiple times in your life., You'll never get this chance back. Even if you don't have the means to restore them now, you very likely will in the future. Do yourself a favor, and thank me in 10 years....Keep them!

Thank you for the feedback. Definitely giving me something to think about. It isn’t really a financial question, it is a “stuff”/clutter question. Eventually I have to downsize.

But it isn’t urgent - I can take some time to decide what I want to do.

Until I looked at them closely again last week, I thought they were Heathkit. He got them before I was born.

Those will clean up just fine.
Use a large paint brush to get the dust off the top of the base.
Some lemon oil furniture polish will put a shine on the black painted parts.

If those belonged to my pops I would give them a place of honor.
Restore (or have them restored) and listen to those beauties.
You will think of him every time you do.
Those are in great condition by the way.
