I've got the 302A system in Barzilay cabs... I had them on one system and didn't care for them much, then I put them on another system, and WOW... damn fine speakers.... I was gonna sell them, but now they are keepers. I was gonna sell them for $300, about the going rate..

With what you are looking at it depends on what cabinet they are in, but still, even just the speakers and crossovers alone are right about on the mark at $200

If you want some fine speakers, you better give that button a click.. That's a nice deal... original cabs, very fine condition with the grills and emblems intact. So long as they are completely functional you won't be disappointed so long as you get a good match with a good system... I had mine on tubes and loved them.. not so much on SS...

If I was at an estate sale and stumbled on those at that price I wouldn't hesitate beating them outta some other guys hands to get them myself..

OH.. just so you know, those are pretty fair sized cabs. Make sure you have some room. About the size of Altec Valencia's

unfortunately i have no tubes and i'm a couple years away from getting the tube setup i desire. I would run them with a yamaha ca 2010, or a kenwood ka-3500.

They are pretty effecient, so you should be fine with what you have.. The SS system I had them on had no tone controls, nor EQ.. once I got them in a system with an EQ I was fine.. adding tubes was the over the top push..

Let me put this another way... I don't need any more speakers, let alone another pair of Bozaks, but if this was here in the DC area, we wouldn't be talking about this any more, because I would have already clicked that BIN button. A great pair of super condition speakers going by what I see, a very fair price, and a nice little profit potential...

We all like a certain kind of sound of speakers, but you won't be able to buy anything near the sound quality and build quality of these for $200. You never know if they will be your cup of tea or not, but at this price you'll lose nothing while finding out. You'll get your money back and then some if you decide they aren't you...

i gotta head off to work, the wife would be PISSED is i brought those home. I will get off at midnight, if they are still there i'm gonna hit the buy it now, just need some time to think this though. they are too big to hide, lol.

i hit the buy it now, the wife is gonna kill me. You guys are no good for my marriage.

I have so much stuff my wife doesn't know what's new or otherwise. :D
Maybe you can sell something to offset the Bozaks, like I usually do if I'm hankering for a new addition. :scratch2:

Perhaps it was an impulsive purchase but one I'm confident you won't regret. Those look to be in excellent condition.

Congrats! :music:

i contacted the seller today and arranged pickup for saturday because it is raining cats and dogs in my neck of the woods. We starting talking about speakers and i soon realized that i may have hit a bit of a goldmine here. Aparently he is a bit of collector and has decided that he has way too much gear.

He specifically mentioned some old Mcintosh gear that he had with a audible hum. JBL L 36's, Klipsh cornwalls, and alot of old tube gear!

hopefully i will come home with more than the bozaks!

Give her some flowers or jewelry before the speakers show up. Flowers usually work up to about $200 audio dollars. Above that, it's better to go for the gold.

My 302a are quite possibly my favorite speaker. Not the most detailed or punchy but perhaps the most musical and least fatiguing.I don't think I'll ever part with mine.

she wants a deep freezer, i'm picking one up on my way to work. I will have it hooked up in the garage before she notices the paypal statement, lol.

Those are a rather nice fine. The cabinets are the early 302s and were phased out about the time stereo arrived so finding them in pairs is a bit rare. If they are as nice all around as the areas shown in the photos, you've got a really nice set. Most likely they can be all paper cone drivers rather than the later aluminum cone tweeters and midrange, if they are 302s and not 300s that are the 2-way version. The cabinets are the same for both and the mid hole is fabricated but, blocked off. Many persons started with the 300 and when they wanted a better speakers added the midrange rather than selling the speaker and buying replacements.

I've owned a later set of 302s's since about 1985 and do not ever see them leaving. I suspect I'll sell off the Symphonys, the larger model, before parting with the 302a's.

Nice move...!

Now, what to buy to explain the impending Mac/Klipsch/JBL score...:scratch2:

Wishing you luck...
