Hey, Guys and Gals,

It's that time of year again. Mark your calendars as I will be hosting a third annual Chicago-Area Get Together on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 1 PM at my house in Glenview. I'm located just north of O'Hare and near I-294 just northwest of Lake Avenue (Euclid out west) and Milwaukee Avenue.

There is no particular theme for this year's Get Together but I hope we can build on last year's great attendance. Look forward to seeing my friends from previous years as well as making some new friends.

Maybe I will bring pictures and tape them to huge cardboard boxes. Just as useless but easier to transport!

EDIT; All joking aside I will be glad to haul my Dynaco MKIIIs down there if I get them patched back up if there is interest in hearing them. I should have this 12B4 line stage done before then too.

I'd love to hear a pair of Dynaco MKIIIs. Man, I hope I'm in town. It's looking like I may be in LA for work. I'd love to hear some of this stuff and hope I get to.
 
Evan, I'd love to see the MkIIIs. Love to hear them even more. (sorry about recycling that one) :D

Brian, I'm also looking forward to hearing the Kuzma and those Atma-Spheres. Thanks for agreeing to bring them. :thmbsp:

John, I really hope you can make it too. Clay's vintage Fisher stuff will be lonely without some peers.
 
Done, Ill un-crappify them. They are currently dead LOL. Ill be bringing a variac with me as to not cause tube upheaval in front of everyone!

I plan on being there, I have a TADac tube dac that I would like to bring if anyone is interested. Also Squeezebox ? (I'm the one that had the Eastern Electric amps last year). And one more vote for the Dynaco mkiii's :) Lots of speakers if you have room
Klipsch rb-61, Altec Valencia 846a, or klipsch KLF-30.

Sorry to hear about sledogman, I do remember him from last year, a real gentleman.
We should have a min or so of silence, and then hours of music in memory.
 
OK Robie, I'll oblige and bring the gear since you and others have expressed strong interest. FWIW my event has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21st.
