2026 NFL hopes and dreams?

Alrighty it is that time of year again.

What are your particular hopes and dreams for the new NFL season?

I'm keeping mine realistic and simply hoping the Cardinals do better than .500.

And since a happy wife is required for a happy life, I hope the Bears -the Mrs. is a diehard, lifelong Bears fan- do well and at the very least beat the Packers.

And since my late father was a big Bills fan, I would really like to see them make that final step.

My Rams have high expectations this year. Myles Garrett and Trent McDuffie are splashy signings. If we can lure Donald out of retirement, our defense could be unstoppable. Chargers are looking better. Mike McDaniel is new O.C. and hopefully he can take Justin Herbert to the next level.

EDIT ADD: News flash! Aaron Donald is back!!

Sad news about Donald but hopefully he'll still play with a retired mindset. :) I expect another free for all in my NFC West division and it may dominate again.
 
The NFL Football is in full swing today.

I’m very fortunate to have a son-in-law who shares his sports pay channel with me.
I can watch my favorite team from Michigan in the comfort of my recliner here in Texas.

A very good day in our house! It was actually sports overload..MotoGP followed by F1, then the Yankees game and all the NFL action.

The Bears put up 59!!?? to beat the Panthers. I guess after giving up 37, you best put a bunch of points on the board.

And in the biggest upset of the entire Week 1 schedule, the Cardinals (+9.5) beat the Chargers. WOO HOO!! The O looked good and the D provided several turnovers including a goal-line stand. Special teams blocked a punt close to the Chargers end zone and that turned into a TD. They have some talented players and a new coach and looked good yesterday. We'll see how long it lasts.

Unfortunately ex-Cardinal Kyler Murry didn't last long in his Vikings debut. Ran with the ball, took a hard hit, and left the game with a concussion. I was curious to see how he would do with the new team.

I was glad to see the Bills win since they were dad's team.

They didn't want to match the $45 mil offer that KC gave him. Instead they drafted a RB for $17 mil. It was nice to see the Cardinals start out with a win I'll bet.

Money talks and sometimes it screams.

It was a nice surprise to see the Cardinals pull off the upset. Especially since all the experts gave them essentially zero chance.

I would have bet them to beat the spread but not the win.

K9's patience behind the line of scrimmage before hitting a hole is a rare thing.
 
Dreams....mine is Buffalo winning it all. Just so you understand....I bleed Eagles green...but it is time they won. Of course it is a dream.
