2220B tuner won't go stereo

As stated, I can't get my 2220B to play in stereo when listening to FM.. Is this a common thing? Maybe.i'm just dumb about antennas. Or is the whole thing whacked and I need a tech?

It is currently hooked up to a standard bunny ear with a loop that is split three ways into a tv, a Nikko budget receiver and The Marantz. The Nikko plays just fine and.pulls in all kinds of stations up and down the dial.

You should get decent stereo from local stations with just a wire. Something is wrong, problem is there are many variables with FM.

Does the stereo light work on other inputs like aux?

Is the signal strength making it at least halfway across the dial?

The stereo light is working on phono and aux. the meter deflects from 6:00 (straight down) to about 4:30 and back to 6:00 at full strength. Am I answering your question? With muting off, the music is there and sounds good, just mono-ish.

Thanks Tom. I did check the transistor H303 voltages mentioned in the other thread. Mine were 0.6 at the base but only about 100 mv at the collector. Bad transistor? Pin 14 if the IC was at 3 v.
