2225-Remove speaker protection relay cover?

I have a 2225 receiver with lowered output to right side.
If I tap on the relay, I can hear a change in volume.
To attempt to clean the relay contacts, I need to remove
the clear plastic relay cover.
What is a good, safe way to remove the cover without
breaking the tabs?

For reference, the relay is Omron MY2 Z-02
24 VDC.
All pots have been cleaned.

I also would love to download a circuit diagram and
repair manual, if anyone knows of a good source.

This is my first post here, this site is just packed
with knowledge! Made me get the old (1976) Marantz
out of the closet.
Thank you all.

Duck3 ,
The best way would be to remove the relay itself to clean . Or just replace it , an MY4 ( $8 - $10 )will work just clip the extra leads. Take your time and the cover will come off .

Thank you Barney for your reply. I do not wish to attempt any component
removal at this time, I don't have the equipment.
I am hoping someone has faced the same problem, and found a shortcut.
The plastic is quite brittle...

It's the circut board and traces you have to think about too, the cover come off then it has to be snapped back on . This is hard on the board under it.....

I understand that, Barney. I am moving carefully here.
I don't quite have the expertise to replace the relay,
and feel that my classic Marantz is not the place to
learn/experiment!
I have seen other posts where folks speak of "burnishing"
the contacts, and other cleaning methods. They make it sound
simple, but a small mistake can be serious, as all DIYs know!

Replacing the relay is actually easier than removing the cover to burnish the contacts. I learned it the hard way, breaking the plastic cover then damaging the contacts of my Concept 5.5's relay.

Thanks for the replies. After looking it over some more, I see I would
have to remove the power amp board just to get the cover off
(capacitor in the way), so replacement looks like the way to go.
I will study up on my soldering, and attempt it some day in the future.

Well I got the cover off. The trick was getting the amp board
to tilt out of the way. Loosened a couple of wires in the harness
underneath, and was able to get clearance. Cleaned the contacts,
and it has helped quite a bit. Next up, I will consider changing the
"vellum" to get back the deep blue color it should have. Slightly
greenish right now.

I just Googled this as I was having trouble getting the relay covers off my 4270. What a pain! I had to loosen the amp board and another board AND the back cover to get enough room to pry at them with a set of tools like this

The tops weren't too bad, but getting the bottoms off was a super huge pain in the keister.
