2226B No Power

Greetings folks, I recently picked up a 2226B. I got it cleaned up and went to power it on and nothing. I checked all fuses for continuity and power. All checked out but no power. The only place I have power is the rear outlets. Any direction on where to look for the problem?

See if you have ac power going in to the transformer with a volt meter on ac.if so follow it threw to the secondary of the transformer.See if you have dc voltages in the power supply.
 
Could be a bad switch too. With the unit unplugged and the switch "on", do an ohms measurement on the contacts.
 
If you have power on the primary side of the trafo I would suspect maybe the internal thermal fuse in the trafo has blown.
 
Good news is that it works. I left it plugged in with the power button engaged and about 15mins later the tuner needle started glowing red. I hooked it up to some junk speakers and turntable and everything functions all knobs and buttons. Thanks for the help.
 
I'd say you have a bad power switch and that's it may be a fire hazard. I highly recommend changing it out.
