2226B Stereo indicator light

When I bought my 2226B it had been relamped (supposedly) except for the stereo indicator lamp. What type/voltage of bulb is that? I'd prefer to just go down the street to Tar Shack and pick up one if possible rather than sift through ebay.

You have to be careful about the stereo indicator light on some Marantz's. The wrong lamp can mess up the FM section. I'm not sure about that particular model.

+1 on dgwojo. Since I discovered him, I haven't bothered to look anywhere else. Just tell him what model your Marantz is and he'll know what you need. His prices are very good, and he even includes some solder and some heat shrink tube for the job. I ordered enough lamps for four different receivers once and he even threw in an extra couple of lamps for free. You can't beat that.

Yes buy from someone who knows that lamp could be 6V, 8V, or 12V, you do not want to mess that one up.

As has beeen noted, it has to be a low current lamp or it can fry the Mplx chip.
